Investigators found that exposure to a bluish-white light source during the daytime for 4 weeks significantly increased sleep quality, efficiency, and total sleep time and reduced depression and agitation in alzheimer patients

Let’s face it, there is no cure (yet?) for Alzheimer. Today’s link will bring you a pretty down to earth article that makes the point bluntly. There is no cure and caregivers/ family would do better to follow up on some of the advice in the article to prepare themselves for the disease.

Do drugs prevent Alzheimer or do you just forget you have it?

Here is some research that suggests that the ingredients in marijuana would help prevent, among others, early onset Alzheimer.

Smoking, vaping, or eating the pot molecules THC and CBD directly effects nerve cell function, resulting in reduced chronic brain inflammation, reduced oxidative stress, and reduced cellular dysfunction — all the while promoting stability of the human body’s internal environment (homeostasis) and healthy brain cells (neurotrophic support).

This is probably not what they had in mind with the medical use of Marijuana but we will support every method that will keep the disease away.
