This can not be good for Alzheimer’s

Read this tale of lawsuits and accusations and you’ll start to understand that unfortunately not all who are involved in Alzheimer’s research are concerned with just finding a medicine but apparently the glory (or money) in finding the first real working medicine creates a situation where people and institutions are suing to get rights to a study or materials or volunteers or equipment all of which does not help Alzheimer’s and is counter to finding the best medicine.

I’m not even interested in who is right or who is wrong, I’m just disgusted by researchers and institutions wasting valuable time and money on fighting battles in court instead of fighting the battle with Alzheimer’s in the laboratory.

Very disappointing!

New Alzheimer’s test developed by teenager!

A 15-year-old school student has developed a test which could give up to 10 years warning of Alzheimers before symptoms even start to show.

Krtin Nithiyanandam, a pupil at Sutton Grammar school, developed a ‘trojan horse’ antibody which can enter the brain and latch onto neurotoxic proteins, identifying the disease in advance
